The first fifteen days of the year celebrate the fifteen successive days on which the Buddha displayed a different miracle in order to increase the merit and inspire the devotion of future disciples.
During this month the effects of positive or negative actions are multiplied 100,000 times. Therefore practice is emphasized during this period.

Bumjur Dawa is the first month and the hare month of the Tibetan lunar calendar. Chotrul Düchen falls within this month.
