Nine heart children of Guru Rinpoche

The nine heart children of Guru Rinpoche (Tib. ཐུགས་སྲས་སྙིང་གི་བུ་དགུ, Wyl. thugs sras snying gi bu dgu) are his nine greatest Tibetan disciples, his spiritual children who had a special karmic connection with him and were especially close to his heart. All of them attained supreme accomplishment. They are:

  1. King Trisong Detsen
  2. Namkhé Nyingpo
  3. Nupchen Sangyé Yeshé
  4. Gyalwa Chokyang
  5. Khandro Yeshé Tsogyal
  6. Palgyi Yeshé
  7. Langchen Palgyi Sengé
  8. Vairotsana
  9. Nyak Jñanakumara
