'''Radeng''' ([[wyl.]] ''rwa sgreng'') or Reting monastery was the first [[Kadampa]] monastery founded by the great master [[Drom Tönpa]] in 1056. It later became [[Gelugpa]]. There are enshrined the [[kudung]] of Jowo Je [[Atisha]] and Drom Tönpa. It is situated north of [[Lhasa]] in the province of [[U]]. The abbot of the monastery, the [[Reting Rinpoche]]s used to become regent of Tibet under the [[Dalai Lama]]s.
