Lama Jigme Namgyal (Wyl. 'jigs med rnam rgyal ]) (1968- ) was born in the Dzachuka area of the Kham province in Tibet and raised at Dzagyal Monastery.

Some masters recognized him as an incarnation of Patrul Jiga (Jigme Wangpo). Patrul Jiga was the son of Tsamtrul Rinpoche Kunzang Dechen Dorje (Pema Kunzang), the incarnation of Jikme Gyalwe Nyugu.

He did about ten years retreat at Samye Chimphu and other holy places. On his wandering retreat journey, he travelled to Bhutan and then could not return to Tibet. After some years in Bhutan, he settled in Tso Pema, India.

Dzagyal Khenpo Bumthar and Tulku Sonam Nyima (from Adzom Monastery) were his main teachers.

He is married to Changchub Lhamo, who was a disciple of Khenpo Munsel and the niece of the adept Karma Chopel (who gave some important transmissions to Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche).
