Analytical meditation (Tib. chegom; Wyl. dpyad sgom) - the counterpart of settling meditation (Tib. jokgom), this refers to the practice of investigation and analysis, undertaken on the basis of the calm of shamatha, in order to bring about insight or vipashyana.
