Lhopa Kunkhyen Rinchen Pal (Wyl. lho pa kun mkhyen rin chen dpa) - was a direct student of Sakya Paita Kunga Gyaltshen [sa skya pa ita kun dga’ rgyal mtshan] (1182-1251), from whom he received detailed teachings on the Bodhicharyavatara. He wrote his commentary on the Bodhicharyavatara as a synopsis [zin bris] of the teachings he had received from Sakya Paita.
