Nine levels of meditative concentration (Tib. བསམ་གཏན་ས་དགུ་, samten sa gu, Wyl. bsam gtan sa dgu) — these levels of meditative concentration are able to support the untainted path. One arrives at nine levels when the first three of the four levels (all except the Peak of Existence) of the formless realms are added to the six levels of meditative concentration.
These are also referred to as the nine levels of the three realms.
