The six lineages are:
- the mind-direct lineage of the victorious ones,
- the sign lineage of the vidyadharas,
- the aural lineage of realized beings,
- the lineage empowered by aspiration,
- the lineage of prophetically declared succession, and
- the dakini’s seal of entrustment lineage.
