Rakshasa (Skt. rākṣasa; Tib. སྲིན་པོ་, sinpo; Wyl. srin po) — a kind of malignant spirit that eats human flesh. One of the eight classes of gods and demons. Also the cannibal savages inhabiting the southwestern continent of Chamara, where Zangdokpalri lies. At times rakshasas refers to the unruly and untamed expression of ignorance and disturbing emotions.
