Conduct to be avoided when listening to the teachings includes the six stains (Tib. དྲི་མ་དྲུག་) :
The six stains are mentioned in Vasubandhu’s Well Explained Reasoning:
Arrogance, lack of faith,
Lack of any interest,
Outward distraction, inward tension,
And discouragement are the six stains. .[1].

རྣམ་བཤད་རིག་པ་ལས།
ང་རྒྱལ་དང་ནི་མ་དད་དང་།
།དོན་དུ་གཉེར་བ་མེད་ཉིད་དང་།
།ཕྱི་རོལ་རྣམ་གཡེངས་ནང་དུ་སྡུད།
།སྐྱོ་བས་ཉན་པ་དྲི་མ་ཡིན།།
