Sönam Tsemo (Wyl. bsod nams rtse mo) (1142-1182) was one of the five patriarchs of the Sakya school, and the author of a famous commentary on the Bodhicharyavatara. He was a direct student of Chapa Chökyi Sengé (1109-1169) and based his commentary on his teacher’s own commentary.
