Regret (Skt. kaukṛtya; Tib. འགྱོད་པ་, Wyl. ‘gyod pa) — one of the fifty-one mental states defined in Abhidharma literature. According to the Compendium of Abhidharma, it belongs to the subgroup of the four variables.
Definitions
In the Khenjuk, Mipham Rinpoche says:
- Tib. འགྱོད་པ་ནི་སྔར་བྱས་པ་ལ་ཡིད་མི་དགའ་བའི་རྣམ་པས་ཡིད་ལ་བཅག་པ་སེམས་གནས་པའི་བར་དུ་གཅོད་པར་བྱེད་པའོ།
