The forty-two deities peaceful deities of the three seats (Tib. den sum tsangwé kyilkhor) or categories are as follows,

The aggregates (skandhas) and elements (dhatu) are the seats of the five male and five female buddhas--the seat of the buddhas
the sense faculties and their objects are the seats of the eight male together with the eight female bodhisattvas and the six munis--the seat of the bodhisattvas
the limbs are the seats of the male and female wrathful deities, which are here the four male and the four female gate keepers who are in a wrathful form but part of the forty-two peaceful deities--the seat of the wrathful deities
