Lobzang Palden Tenpé Nyma (Wyl. blo bzang dpal ldan bstan pa'i nyi ma), the Fourth Panchen Lama (1782-1854), was born in Panam in Tsang and recognised by the Eighth Dalai Lama, who gave him his upasaka ordination (1784), his novice ordination (1789) and his full ordination in 1801 along with many teachings from the sutras and tantras.
