- Aryadeva
- Lönpo Gar, aka Gar Dongdzen (seventh century), a minister of the Tibetan Dharma King Songtsen Gampo.
Garchen Tulkus
- Ngawang Döndrup (Wyl. ngag dbang don grub), aka Gar Chödingpa (b. 12th century-d. 13th century), a heart disciple of Drikung Kyobpa Jikten Sumgön. Founded a monastery at a place called Lungzhu Chöding and the Pumi Phulung Monastery, both in Eastern Tibet.
- Könchok Tenzin Phuntsok (Wyl. dkon mchog bstan 'dzin phun tshogs), a son of the king of Nangchen.
- Könchok Tenzin Drakpa (Wyl. dkon mchog bstan 'dzin grags pa), founder of the Gar Gön Changchub Chöling Monastery.
- Könchok Tenzin Chökyi Nyima (Wyl. dkon mchog bstan 'dzin chos kyi nyi ma)
- Könchok Tenzin Changghub Wangpo (Wyl. dkon mchog bstan 'dzin byang chub dbang po) (b. 18th/19th cent.)
