Taktsang Monastery also called Tiger Nest is situated on a nearly vertical cliff at 3000m altitude north of Paro / Buthan. A number of famous masters have meditated in caves near the current monastery: Guru Rinpoche in his manifestation of Dorje Drollö meditated on the Kagyé cycle.
