Sönam Tsemo (1142-1182) - one of the five patriarchs of the Sakya school, author of a famous commentary on the Bodhicharyavatara.
Andreas Kretschmar explains:
- He was a direct student of Chawa Chö Seng [phya ba chos seng] (1109-1169) and based his commentary on his teacher Chawa Chö Seng’s commentary on the Bodhisattva-caryvatra.
