The Gyütö Dratsang (Wyl. rgyud stod grva tshang) or Upper Tantric College was founded in 1474/5 in Lhasa by Jetsün Kunga Döndrup, a student of Sherab Senge (the founder of Gyümé Dratsang) and Gendün Drup. It is one of the two main tantric colleges of the Gelug tradition, with Gyümé Dratsang. After its foundation, it was transferred to Ramoche.
