The three yanas or the 'three vehicles' (Skt. triyāna; Wyl. theg pa gsum; Tib. tekpa sum) —
In the context of the basic yana and the mahayana, this refers to:
- the shravaka yana,
- the pratyekabuddha yana and
- the bodhisattva yana.
In the context of the vajrayana, this refers to:
- the basic yana,
- the mahayana and
- the vajrayana.
