Pehar (Tib. པེ་ཧར་, Wyl. pe har). In order to protect Samye from any danger Guru Rinpoche, entrusted the king of the gyalpo spirits, Pehar with the task of guarding Samye. Detailed accounts of how Pehar was bound are found in the more extensive biographies of Guru Rinpoche. Pehar is also the spirit channeled by the Nechung Oracle.
