Eight faults (Tib. སྐྱོན་བརྒྱད་, kyön gyé, Wyl. skyon brgyad) — the eight faults which are absent on the fourth meditative concentration.
- The conception present on the first meditative concentration
- The discernment present on the first meditative concentration
- The inhalation of the breath present up to and including the third meditative concentration
- The exhalation of the breath present up to and including the third meditative concentration
- The physical suffering of the desire realm
- The mental suffering of the desire realm
- The mental bliss present up to and including the second meditative concentration
- The bliss of the third meditative concentration
