Lhopa Kunkhyen Rinchen Pal (Tib. ལྷོ་པ་ཀུན་མཁྱེན་རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་, Wyl. lho pa kun mkhyen rin chen dpal) was a direct student of Sakya Pandita Kunga Gyaltsen (1182-1251), from whom he received detailed teachings on the Bodhicharyavatara. He wrote his commentary on the Bodhicharyavatara as a synopsis (zin bris) of the teachings he had received from Sakya Pandita.
