Nine bonds (Tib. ཀུན་ཏུ་སྦྱོར་བ་དགུ་, küntu jorwa gu, Wyl. kun tu sbyor ba dgu) — nine bonds which are obscurations to liberation. They are mentioned in Distinguishing the Middle from Extremes:
- There are nine characteristics of destructive emotions—

In his commentary on this verse, Mipham Rinpoche explains them to be:
- Ignorance
- Desire
- Anger
- Pride
- Doubt
- Wrong view
- Belief in supremacy
- Envy
- Miserliness
