Buddhas of the five families (Skt. jinakula; Tib. རྒྱལ་བ་རིགས་ལྔ་, Wyl. rgyal ba rigs lnga) — the five peaceful buddhas of the sambhogakaya:

  1. Vairochana (Skt. Vairocana; Tib. རྣམ་པར་སྣང་མཛད་, Wyl. rnam par snang mdzad), buddha family
  2. Akshobhya (Skt. Akṣobhya; Tib. མི་བསྐྱོད་པ་, Wyl. mi bskyod pa), vajra family
  3. Ratnasambhava (Skt. Ratnasambhava; Tib. རིན་ཆེན་འབྱུང་གནས་ or རིན་ཆེན་འབྱུང་ལྡན་, Wyl. rin chen 'byung gnas, rin chen 'byung ldan), ratna family
  4. Amitabha (Skt. Amitābha; Tib. འོད་དཔག་མེད་, Wyl. 'od dpag med or Tib. སྣང་བ་མཐའ་ཡས་, Wyl. snang ba mtha' yas)), padma family
  5. Amoghasiddhi (Skt. Amoghasiddhi; Tib. དོན་ཡོད་གྲུབ་པ་, Wyl. don yod grub pa), karma family
