Dragon

Dragon – (Tib. tak) one of the four dignities, which represent aspects of the Bodhisattva attitude.

The Dragon sybolizes the wind element. It abides in the west.

The Dragon enjoys resting in the sky among the clouds and wind. The vision of the dragon is to create an environment of fearlessness, warmth and genuineness. It is energetic, powerful and unwavering, yet gentle and playful.

The Dragon thunders in the sky with the sound of compassion that awakens us from delusion and increases what we can know through hearing. Dragons have the power of complete communication. Just as we do not see sound, we do not see dragons -- at least not usually. Displaying a dragon banner is said to protect one from slander and enhances one's reputation.
