Ribur Rinpoche (1923-Janurary 2006)

Main teacher of Richard Gere. Stopped breathing at Sera Me Monastery on the full moon of H.H. Dalai Lama'a Kalachakra Empowerment in Amaravati, India. His root guru was Pabonka Rinpoche. Known for constantly stressing the importance of keeping authentic Buddha-Dharma alive in the hands of well trained geshes and khenpos for the future of the teachings.
