Four joys
The four joys (Tib. gawa shyi; Wyl. dga' ba bzhi; Skt. caturānanda) are four increasingly subtle experiences of bliss connected with the advanced practices of tsa-lung; they transcend ordinary feelings of joy or pleasure. They are:
- joy (dga' ba),
- supreme joy (mchog dga'),
- special joy (khyad dga') and
- innate joy (lhan skyes kyi dga' ba).
