Yama

Yama (Skt. Yama) or Yamaraja (Skt. Yamarāja; Tib. གཤིན་རྗེ, ཆོས་རྒྱལ་, Wyl. gshin rje, chos rgyal), the 'Lord of Death'.

• King of the hell realms.
• In the Bardo Tödrol Chenmo teachings, Yama presides over the judgment of the dead.
• He is also considered to be a Dharma protector (especially in the Gelugpa school), named Dharmaraja or Kalarupa, who has outer, inner and secret manifestations.
