Ratnamegha Sutra
Ratnamegha Sutra, or the Cloud of Jewels Sutra (Skt. Ratnamegha-sūtra; Tib. དཀོན་མཆོག་སྤྲིན་གྱི་མདོ།, Wyl. dkon mchog sprin gyi mdo) — an important sutra for the exposition of shamatha and vipashyana in the Tibetan tradition. It is considered to be the first sutra translated into Tibetan by Thonmi Sambhota.[1]
Text
Although the Sanskrit of many passages is preserved in the excerpts cited in the Indian shastra literature, the Ratnamegha Sutra as a whole is no longer extant in Sanskrit.
Four versions of the sutra are, however, available in Chinese translation.
The Tibetan translation from the 7th cent. is found in the General Sutra section of the Kangyur, Toh 231
- English translation: The Jewel Cloud
