Ashvaghosha (Wyl. rta dbyangs) Originally a Hindu master, known as Durdharsakala or Matrcheta, he became a buddhist after meeting Aryadeva and went on to compose many texts in beautiful Sanskrit verse, including the Buddhacharita, the most famous work on the life of Buddha.
