Definitions

In the Khenjuk, Mipham Rinpoche says:

  • Tib.
  • Concealment is not engaging in what one has been exhorted to do, [namely to abandon what needs to be abandoned and to adopt what needs to be adopted] and a wish to cover up for one's faults. It forms the support for not feeling regret and it belongs to the categories of delusion and attachment. (Rigpa Translations)
  • Concealment belongs to the categories of delusion and attachment. It means not to engage in what has been fully warned about and to desire to cover up for one's faults. It forms the support for not feeling regret. (Erik Pema Kunsang)

Alternative Translations

  • Dissimulation (Padmakara)
  • Hypocrisy (David Karma Choepel, Gyurme Dorje)
