Four continents

Four continents (Tib. gling bzhi) - the four continents which surround Mount Meru according to the cosmology of the Abhidharma are:

  • Purva Videha (Lüpakpo) in the East
  • Jambudvipa (Dzambuling) in the South
  • Aparagodaniya (Balangchö) in the West
  • Uttarakura (Draminyen) in the North
