Mount Hépori (Tib. ཧས་པོ་རི་, Wyl. has po ri) above Samye is where Guru Rinpoche subjugated the negative forces impeding the construction of the monastery. As it says in the Barché Lamsel prayer:

On the very summit of Hépori
You bound all the devas and rakshasas under oath:
Of all these great gods and demons,
Some offered the core of their lifeforce,
Some undertook to guard the teachings,
Some took the pledge to be your servants.
