སྡུག་བསྔལ་འདོར་འདོད་སེམས་ཡོད་ཀྱང༌། །
སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཉིད་ལ་མངོན་པར་རྒྱུག །
བདེ་བ་འདོད་ཀྱང་གཏི་མུག་པས། །
Though longing to be rid of suffering,
They rush headlong towards suffering itself.
Although longing to be happy, in their ignorance
They destroy their own well-being, as if it were their worst enemy.
