"gsal stong" seems to be correct: ''gsal stong shwo sgom'' is mentioned in ''bka' brgyad mgur mtsho'' with the other two from Kham, and spelling of both TBRC pecha-versions is gsal stong. The spelling in the wood block is ''gsal stong sho skom'' and in the other version ''gsal stong sho sgom''...

Saltong or Saltön?

There seems to be some confusion over his name. This might be due to the TBRC profile which gives gsal ston as a title. All sources I can find, including Gene Smith's Among Tibetan Texts (quoting Kongtrul) give Saltong. --adam 10:05, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

"gsal stong" seems to be correct: gsal stong shwo sgom is mentioned in bka' brgyad mgur mtsho with the other two from Kham, and spelling of both TBRC pecha-versions is gsal stong. The spelling in the wood block is gsal stong sho skom and in the other version gsal stong sho sgom... mgur mtsho p. 000268/1 (page no. on pecha), mgur mtsho p.473/5. Domschl 13:45, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
