The Urga Kangyur was created between 1908 and 1910 under the patronage of the 8th Jetsün Dampa of Mongolia. Urga (Tib. khu-re) is the old name for Ulan Bator, the capital of Outer Mongolia. This edition comprises 104 volumes, with volume 105 being the accompanying catalogue.
