The three basic rituals of the Vinaya (Tib. འདུལ་བ་གཞི་གསུམ་, dulwa shyi sum, Wyl. 'dul ba gzhi gsum) are
- Summer retreat
- Vow restoring sojong ceremony
- Release ceremony for ending the summer retreat
