The sutra known as The Prophecy of Shri Mahadevi (Skt. Śrīmahādevīvyākaraṇa; Tib. ལྷ་མོ་ཆེན་མོ་དཔལ་ལུང་བསྟན་པ་, lhamo chenmo pal lungten pa, Wyl. lha mo chen mo dpal lung bstan pa) recounts events that took place in the realm of Sukhavati, and begins with Buddha recounting to the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara the accomplishments of Shri Mahadevi, along with a prophecy in which her future enlightenment was foretold by all the buddhas she venerated, and her many names and benefits of reciting them.

Versions of this sutra in Sanskrit and Chinese are still extant today.
Most Kangyurs include two copies of the Tibetan translation of this text, one (Toh 193) in the General Sutra section and one (Toh 739) among the collected tantras (rgyud ’bum), classified under Kriya Tantra.
