The two types of instant (Tib. སྐད་ཅིག་གཉིས་, kechik nyi, Wyl. skad cig gnyis) are:
- the instant of completion of an action (Wyl. bya rdzogs kyi skad cig ma) and
- the ultimately shortest instant of time (Wyl. dus mtha’i skad cig ma).
