Shakyadevi (Tib. ཤཱཀྱ་དེ་ཝི་, Wyl. shAkya de wi) — the daughter of the Nepalese king Punyedhara and one of Guru Rinpoche's five main consorts.
Since her mother died during her birth, she was abandoned in a charnel ground and brought up by monkeys. Having later been accepted as Padmasambhava's companion, she became his consort for the practice of the nine divinities of Vishuddha at Yangleshö cave, where they both attained the level of Mahamudra vidyadhara. Shakyadevi attained the accomplishment of the female buddha Mamaki and finally achieved the indestructible rainbow body.[1]
