Ngawang Yönten Gyatso (Wyl. ngag dbang yon tan rgya mtsho) (1902-c.1963) was the 69th abbot of Ngor Monastery. His teacher, Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö, sent him back to Tibet from Sikkim in 1958, saying he was one of only three lamas in Kham who had the power to stop the Chinese.
