Guardians of the ten directions (Tib. ཕྱོགས་སྐྱོང་བཅུ་, Wyl. phyogs skyong bcu):
- Indra in the east;
- Yamaraja in the south;
- Varunapati (Water God) in the west;
- Vaishravana in the north;
- Agnideva (Fire God) in the south-east;
- Nairptah in the south-west;
- Vayudeva (Wind God) in the north-west;
- Ishvani in the north-east;
- Brahma at the zenith (above); and
- Bhumipati (Earth Goddess) at the nadir (below).
