White Lotus of Compassion Sutra (Skt. Karuṇāpuṇḍarīka nāma mahāyāna sūtra; Tib. སྙིང་རྗེ་པདྨ་དཀར་པོའི་མདོ་, nyingjé pema karpö do, Wyl. snying rje pad+ma dkar po'i mdo) is a mahayana sutra containing the account of how Shakyamuni Buddha first aroused bodhichitta in his previous life as the brahmin Samudrarenu (Wyl. rgya mtsho'i rdul).
