Tulku Bakal Mukpo
Tulku Bakal Mukpo (Tib. སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་བ་མཁལ་སྨུག་པོ་, Wyl. sprul sku ba mkhal smug po) was a tertön who flourished in the 13th century, who was born in Lhodrak at some point during the life Nyangrel Nyima Özer. A ngakpa, he was an emanation of Murup Tsepo. Because his face was dark red, he was nicknamed Tulku Mukpo Dong (Tulku Dark-red Face) or Bagal Mukpo. He is known to have retrieved from the Khala Rongo rockface in Mangyul a womb-birth biography of Guru Rinpoche, the Barché Lamsel prayer and a commentary, and a short Vajrakilaya cycle. However, nowadays it seems that only the text of Barché Lamsel can be found, as it was preserved together with the lineage of reading transmission in Treasury of Termas. His version of the prayer is almost identical to Chokgyur Lingpa's revelation save for a few minor omissions.
