Palden Lhamo thangka

Palden Lhamo (Wyl. dpal ldan lha mo ; Skt. Shri Devi) is one of the main Dharmapala of Tibetan Buddhism and of Tibet.

Within the Gelugpa, she is strongly associated with the Dalai Lama Incarnation Line and with the Panchen Lama Incarnation Line. Palden Lhamo is also related to the Lhamo Lhasto, in Dakpo. Over the years, many of the Dalai Lamas and of their regents went to practice around this lake in order to receive visions and indications.
