རྒྱལ་བའི་བཀའ། The Word of the Buddha

སེམས་ནི་གློག་དང་རླུང་དང་སྤྲིན་དང་འདྲ།  །

རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་ཡི་ནི་རླབས་དང་མཚུངས།  །
རྒྱུ་སྒྱུ་ཅན་འདོད་དགུར་ཡུལ་ལ་མངོན་དགའ་བ།  །

གཡོ་ཞིང་འཕྱན་པ་ངེས་པར་གདུལ་བར་བྱ། །

This mind is like lightning, wind, and clouds,
Like the waves of a giant ocean,
Cunning, indulging in everything it desires,
Moving, straying—I must certainly tame it.
