Lama Gyurdrak (Wyl. bla ma 'gyur grags) (d.1975) was Sogyal Rinpoche's first tutor, chosen by Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö. The nephew of Lama Tseten, the tutor of Khandro Tsering Chödrön, he was a great Dzogchen practitioner in his own right. His father, Derge Yilungpa Sonam Namgyal, attained rainbow body in 1952/3.[1]
