Ling Lama Chöjor Gyatso aka Ling Lama Orgyen Chöjor Gyatso and Golok Lang Lama Tupten Chökyi Jorpa (19th-20th centuries), was a highly accomplished Dzogchen master. In the early part of his life, he was a student of Patrul Rinpoche and later he became a student of Dudjom Lingpa.
Ling Lama Chöjor Gyatso left Dudjom Lingpa in Golok, Tibet, with other senior students such as Lama Khedrup, and made the long journey to Pemakö to find the reincarnation of his master: Dudjom Rinpoche, to whom he became a root master.
In Pemakö, when Dudjom Rinpoche was seven years old, Ling Lama Chöjor Gyatso requested him to give a public teaching on Shantideva’s major work by saying to him: “When you were Dudjom Lingpa, your son, Dodrupchen Jikme Tenpe Nyima, gave a public teaching on Shantideva’s Guide To the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life when he was eight years old.
