Tulku Palden was the younger brother Dudjom Rinpoche, and recognized as the incarnation of Gyalwa Phakpa Lha, an important master of Pemakö of the late 19th and beginning of the 20th century. His reincarnation, Yangsi Tulku Palden, was recognized by Dudjom Rinpoche.
