His Eminence Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche Tenzin Chokyi Gyatso — one of the most important teachers within the Drukpa Kagyü lineage. He is the ninth incarnation of the sixteenth century Drukpa Kagyü master Dorje Zinpa Choekyi Gonpo, an emanation of Vajrapani and teacher of Pema Karpo. There are two reincarnations of the eighth Choegon Rinpoche; both currently live in India (the other Choegon Rinpoche is named Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche Chokyi Sengye).
